6.5 mb quarts speaker

Do i have to put this speaker in the stock speaker box or can i rip that box out? because i wuz gonna mount it differntly. I just wanted to know if it will sound better in the box or no

you can mount it any which way you would like. what did you have in mind?

Exactly ! If it's stock it must be changed . Nothing stock is ever any good.

you can either get some custom pods to mount on the door or get some kick panels

yea but will the speakers sound differnt if i dont mount them in a box?

I doubt they are designed for a sealed enclosure. Most midrange speakers are free air and don't require a box. I can't think of any midrange MBQuarts that need a sealed enclosure. If you're pretty handy with fiberglass fab work I'd mount them in kick pods. You'll get the best imaging if they are in kicks.
