*help* where to get power

Exclamation *help* where to get power

I'm trying to install some neon lights under my dash, and i'm looking for a place to hook the wires into the fuse pannel, everytime i find a place to hook the two wires where i have power, i lose it when i turn on the key? help wiring isnt my thing.

Please help me lol

You're not putting the power AND ground wire both into the fuse connection, are you? It seems surprising that it would blow a fuse that quick unless there's a short somewhere in the connection.

no they;re on differnt connections, but im not blowing a fuse either, i just lose power to the light once the key is on

If wiring isnt your thing, the best thing to do is to have someone show you in person. There is no room for mistakes in wiring. Dont want any fires.

Ditto. If you still want to risk it, the orange wire behind the cigarette lighter is a good source of 12v constant power.
