that is for sure. it is not supposed to be smaller than the current CTS, bigger if any, and wider. So definately bigger.

I think it gets the DI 3.6 that is supposed to be around 300 hp, and the V series (which is supposed to be packin' like Ron Jeremy) the next year.

That sounds good. Im hoping we will see it in January. The reason I asked is my brother is looking at 335i and has been comparing it to the Lexus and loosely the TL. I know the G35 is in that category too but I dont know much about any of these cars in terms of performance, reliability, refinement, etc.

335i>IS>TL

The '08 CTS should be an awesome car. 300HP+ V6

There really isn't much to look at - there's BMW, and then there's everything else

I am surprised that 335 weighs at 3600 lbs, that is VERY porky, for a sedan that should be 3300 - 3400 lbs, and it's only RWD (not AWD). Awesome power, awesome handling. I wouldn't bother with Infiniti, Acura or Lexus, unless he can't afford the BMW.

And if he is cross-shopping 335 with Infiniti or Acura, then perhaps he's in the wrong showroom and doesn't need the bimmer.

Many have been singing the praises of the IS350. Supposedly alot quicker than what people thought it would be on paper. I think the Lexus is worth a look at, but otherwise, I would not stray too far from the 335i.

Still wondering, 3 engine options in CTS? 4? The car will be released so soon, hard to wait though.

I am already studying for finals, and it feels like I just started.

Should be on sale this summer.

As mentioned, it's going to be a bit bigger than the 3 series. Keep in mind the 3 series is not much bigger than a Cobalt.
