What might happen to GM if it imploded and dissappeared in North America

The more I think about it, the latter would probably be the case. You would need to pay $x amount, and you would be able to have your car serviced at any shop. Just flash your warranty card. It would be kind of like the carmax warranty. You pay $50 for warranty repairs at carmax, and $75 almost everywhere else.

Edit: Dealers are probably just screwed. They would get a letter saying once they sell off the cars on their lot, they better find something else to do. Although, if they banded together, they could become another auto repair shop. But that would never happen.
