I think the game plan is to continue S-10 production, with less variants offered, until the corresponding Colorado variants arrive...

At that point, I'd assume both S-10 and Blazer to fade away into oblivion...

THe last thing I read about the S-10 said they were going to make it until 2005.

They will still make an Xtreme, but it will be called Colorado Sport. It will be lowered 2" and have 17" rims and other suspention stuff, check it out at Chevy.com

Here is a pic of all the different Colorado Sport models

I read something a few weeks back that said the Blazer would continue to be sold in its current format until the Colorado-based replacement comes along in... now here's the bad part... I forgot the date... but it was something like '06 or '07.

Sorry.

I needs to sit lower to the ground, like its hovering like the Xtreme does. That Colorado sport looks like a dropped 4x4, ie normal truck height.

Cool Very Cool

I think they are nice particularly the reg. cab, I don't think it will be good to give up on the Xtreme name. They have a strong following.I too was thinking LS1, some nice rims etc., etc. I had previously considered buying an Xtreme, and driving it around in stock trim until I paid it off, then LS1 T56. I went the used LT1 rt. to save myself the payments n ins., and since the prices have com down on them thanx in part to the LS1, I am not dissapointed. I do still like the current S-10 Xtreme very much although they are a bit small for me as I really like my half ton Silverado as well as the current ones including the SS. I REALLY hope they pull through and bring out the Reg. Cab Silerado SS T56 non supercharged 400 HP for us freaks

Holden's tag line for the "Frontera" really fits the Colorado: "It's got a lot of front." (That's incredibly lame, but that's what it was.)

The face is still way too big for the size of those little trucks. Glad the S-10's going to stick around for a little while.

I never did like those huge and awkward headlights on the colorado but they are starting to grow on me pretty well. that black truck almost looks like a 96 impala ss (on the front) if you cover up the headlights above the bowtie bar.

I just simply can't warm up to the Colorado's look as I can the S10s.

It's alot like that young woman in school with the wonderful body, but you just simply can't get past the face.

I guess I must really be in the minority here because I think the current S10 looks wimpy and dorky, whereas I really like the new Colorado. And it's not that I automatically like Chevy trucks-- I think the new Silverado is fugly and takes three steps backwards from the 2002s.
