It's an artist's conceptual idea of what the next generation GMC Canyon might look like, in the artist's opinion.

With that said, it looks a lot better. Probably because of the GMC grille and large flared wheel openings.

That guys drawing is better than the equinox looking chevy version.

I like it a lot better.

I do wish people would quit doing renderings with the stupid cab extensions though... I was happy when those things died off in the 90s.

The U.S. version of the Colorado probably won't have the Equinox grille. Chevy is moving away from that style of grille in favor of the one we see on the new Traverse and Impala and I bet the new Colly will get that look or be modeled after the next Silverado, whatever that looks like.

As far as the cab extension is concerned, I like it. I think the truck just won't look right without it. The rake of the belt line assures that. A level topped bed will just look awkward no matter how high the bed sides are.

I could see where you might get that, but it looks much better overall particularly the rear 3/4 rendering.

Funny you say that! I thought it looked like a Chevy Avalance...which the Ridgeline ripped off.

I think it's reminding people of a Ridgeline because of the cab extension on the bed.
Take that off and I think it will look like garbage, I think. The top of the bed will be too low with respect to the beltline. Plus it will be level, therefore creating an awkward look when viewed together with the raked beltline.

I see that Chris Doane has a hand in the drawing.

For those that aren't familiar with Chris, he's a strong credible player in the "spy photos" scene.

If Chris has a hand in an artist's rendering, it's usually pretty close to what has been actually seen, described, or done from a low quality photograph.

In short, it's probably not too much more than a grille or bumper details away from the real thing.

Looks good, but I assume the 2015 Canyon will be styled after the 2014 Sierra, not the 2013 Acadia.
