The front definitely looks good...

The front is kind of ugly. 360 lb.-ft. of torque while not bad, isn't much for a $70,000 car.

Whats the curb weight expected to be?

I heard anywhere from 3,700-3,900 lbs and I'm personally thinking it will be on the heavier side of that range...I thought it looked pretty ugly too when I saw the pics of it in silver but in that pic the front looks good to me.

I rather like that grill. How would that look on a Commodore?

I never understood what people liked about this car's styling. The profile looks good, but everything else is terrible - the front looks like a horribly mutated Evo X. Why do the Japanese insist on making their sports cars look like pissed off transformers?

Not a fan of it's styling.

Alot of those ricer guys have been clammoring for the car to come here, and having actually been to Japan and seeing how much those things really cost, I've been saying be careful what you ask for.

Now it's here, as expensive as I've said it would be. Lets see how many put out the money for it. I'm betting very few.

I don't like the front end styling completely, it just seems a little overdone to me. I like the overall styling of the car though. So the car is supposed to be in the 3700-3900lb range. Judging from the looks of the car, I find that hard to grasp.

Are you suggesting that vehicles in the $70K and up price range are expected to be a high volume product?

No, he's saying that you'd have to be a ricer to spend that much for that car.

That is a photo illustration by the way, not an official photo.

That said, it's probably a pretty good guess as to what it will end up looking like.

Are you kidding me? There will be waiting lists a mile long to buy that thing....in California alone. It's cool if you don't like it, but I think you're vastly underestimating the tuner crowd. This car is an icon for many. The way you feel about the Camaro is the same way some 25-30 year old guy in Long Beach feels about the Skyline.

I see…I guess it has nothing to do with appreciating the vehicle.

So what do we call someone who pays twice that for a 911 turbo…what name do we use to insult them?

Or is buying non-domestic vehicle Ok so long as it’s not from Japan?

Don't be so sure. Ricers (I guess Tuners is the more PC term) typically buy $20k vehicles and then go about dumping $30-40k+ into them to make them perform better. Here you get the same thing, plus a factory warranty. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Brautwurst, then again that doesn't roll off the tongue good. Germany is known for its beer, so I say it should be hoppers

However, I'll refer you to this thread for a more telling description of a ricer http://www.superhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=296828&page=1&pp=15

Not a huge fan of the styling, period. I'm a huge fan of the R32 and R33 Skyline GTR's and when I look at this thing it doesn't say GTR to me at all. It just looks like a sports car from the Japan.
I'm glad to have read that there the car will be tuner friendly cause of the big things people were kinda bummed about when the concept came out was that Nissan was trying to get the Skyline away from tuning.
