Take a good look, GM may want these pics removed

Jalopnik got them somewhere.

Its ok, it was originally posted in the lounge by somebody else, then it got posted here, and then you posted it. So you weren't the first to repost, per se.

It's news bits like this that show just how fast a leak can become a flood.

I guess we are all in a rush to spread the good word.

Funny, I recall seeing pictures of an LSx motor exactly like a year ago. The thing that struck me was the blower, and where the throttle body poked out of the intake.

I think this is a little more detail then the one posted a year ago...well at least in the other threads. The link listed here only shows one picture.

Yes and no. The pictures posted a year ago were real pictures of the motor on a pallet IIRC.

Yeah I believe I remember the pic you are talking about. This isn't the one I was thinking about but it is the only one I have on my computer:

Although the new pictures seem to be closer to production and show the intercooler.

What a weird position for that throttle body.

Pretty freaking ingenious design if you ask me. When can we order the crate motor version?

I just want to buy that intake/blower setup to go on my truck!

Wait, it probably has the newer LS7 style heads, so I guess new heads will be required?

But what's the point with the tiny bores of the 5.3L? Might as well step up to a bigger bore engine. At that point, a stroker starts to make sense....

LOL

You could always go with the new LS 376/520 crate motor.

I think we are looking at the same thing as shown now. GM can afford to throw a metal cover over the supercharged and intercooled LS9 just in case a picture like that was taken. I'm sure some changes have been done but I bet under that metal cover in the pic above is the same LS9 we've now just seen w/o the plastic cover.

I agree with you, when I was talking about the intercooler, I there was a picture of just the intercooler now to go along with the complete engine
