some things i meant to bring up before:

can ford do this without being hit by a fuel consumption tax? and will 450HP be enough to keep up with competitors two full years from now??

5 year old technology in the Cobra R made ~370rwhp out of a 5.4...it should be capable of making more with little effort. I will still be very disappointed if Ford goes the NA route in the '07, and I'm quite sure many '03/'04 owners feel the same way.
Blown engines are, in general, less efficient than NA engines because fuel is used to keep cylinder temps (and detonation) in check.
