I did these relatively quickly because I wanted to come up with ideas for what (if anything) I'd do to a black G8-- which I would like to purchase when available. So I made it black, and in the first pic, I played around with a stripe down the side. In the Second pic, I changed the wheels out.

I didn't really make these to show people... but I figured what the heck.



I think I would like to see a Sport Appearance Package on this car. It looks too generic from the back/side (like a BMW crossed with a Honda or Toyota). The front is awesome, but the side and rear lack Pontiac styling. I'd like to see a bit of Grand Prix emerge or GTO emerge. I see a bit too much blaaaaah

I still intend on getting one, but something extra tacked on would look nice.

 

why do z06 wheels look good on everything?

 

I actually got those wheels off of a Miata LOL. It was the first pic I found that was the same angle.

 

The rotors are a lot smaller.

 

Hey, like I said, these were quick and not really created to be showcased.

 

the first picture makes it look like the whole car is greenish-black, and only when the light hits it at the right angle does the green appear.

 

I disagree about the appearance package. The last thing I want to see is more plastic on it. I like how the lines flow as they are.

 

Those aren't Z06 wheels.

Oh, and I'm not sure I agree about the rear needing more "GTO" in it. The GTO has a rather bland rear end as well (especially the '04s). The lower part of the bumper on the '05-'06 cars made it much better, this car already has a similar treatment...



It does look sharp in black with those wheels ( ), though they would not be my first choice. They are 100 times better than the trianglezilla monstrosities that were on the G8 "concept".

 

Why do I see a red X?

 

G8 looks awesome as is. I personally think the rear is the best looking part of the car.

 

Any wheels are going to be an improvement over the stockers IMO. Those look good.
The fender flares look mismatched to me. I'd like to see the rears changed to be more similar to the fronts.

 

am i the only one who likes the wheels on the concept? I thought they looked pretty cool, gave a very sporty feel to the car.

Although that second pic makes it look like there is a red protrusion (in the shape of a fire hydrant ) coming from the taillights.
