Just a thought...
But since this was an official, prepared General Motors speech.... does Red Planet have any comments?
I totally understand Red's inability to talk specifics most of the time, but now that there has been an 'official' statement... maybe Red can talk a little more?
If not, it's OK, I am still beaming ear-to-ear over one little sentence in a speech!

Can someone please explain to me why the upcomming Sigma platform is the platform of choice? I'm not aware enough of the platforms to say what's ideal or not. Having said that, seems like I remember reading somewhere that that the Sigma platform has IRS (Independent Rear Suspension). If Camaro goes the way of the Sigma, will it have IRS? I hope so... C-ya!

Mr. Ruess was our group manager when I worked at GM Design last year. He's the son of former GM CEO Lloyd Ruess. He's not a gearhead but relies on Moss, Henricy, and Dave Hill to "advise" as to what should be done. Scott Settlemire knows him as well. Lutz is shaking things up realy nicly!
I been saying all along not to lose faith just yet. I also asked many of you people last year. Do you beleive in reincarnation?

::suddenly remembers the Mustag Cobra review that mentioned the demise of the Camaro at the end and said a new 350+HP Camaro was due out in '04 or '05, goes outside and starts doing cartwheels in the rain and screaming like a mad man...::

Reading this thread is pretty funny. I remember how quite a few of ya howled when you found out Mark Reuss was going to run GM's performance division?
Just in case those few have selective amneisia, think Aztec.

Finally a public statement to help us keep the faith! I thought for sure I was going to be driving a Ford or Dodge in the next couple of years.....looks like that has changed! Hope this article is for real.
