GM Enthusiasts

As I may have mentioned in the past, I assist a few of the privateer teams that race Corvettes in the Speed World Challenge series. It's rewarding for me and I hope for them also.

I was sent this pic from the recent race at Long Beach California. World Challenge teams can supply their own flag bearers for the pre-race festivities.

I think Blackdog Racing recuited some fine enthusiasts to represent the Corvette brand. I leave the final judgement up to you fellow GM enthusiasts here on CZ28.com.

I can't say why the Porsche teams were a bit short on flag bearers...

I sent Jason the full sized pic. I also think it's great that folks are willing to show their enthusaism for America's Sports Car Icon!!

Being in the pits at a road race event is rewarding. Folks of all ages and backgrounds visit and want to share their stories about their cars.

I remember seeing those girls. I was probably 100 ft from that spot on the outside of the track. I was out of camara space as the Speed WC was after the Champ Car race and I used up all my pics on cars and some more female talent seen during the day.

And, uh, how exactly does one find himself in a similar position?

I'm hoping to be at Belle Isle in August. If it works out, maybe I can help you get your hands dirty? That or just come and smell some Sunoco and take in the pit scene.

No promises, as priorities do arise with where I need to be at any given time.
