G8 Test drive vid..

Damn nice car...

A couple things tho.. Pontiac should do something about the Grand Am-ish front end.. It has never really changed..

Form the side it almost resembles a BMW M5...

For some reason I just can't come to a decision with the pictures and video.

If you see it on the streets before you see it in a showroom or on a lot, it WILL catch your eye.... trust me.

thats cool I know what you mean. I have seen it in person and it has a different feel to it.
What guionM said is what will happen. Very much an upscale performance sedan look and the fit and finish andf quality. The look of you get what you paid for. It is part of this car. I don't think you would be embarassed to park this next to any mid level luxury car either. Thats how much the styling and class the car has. Not to mention kick *** power.

Anybody know the top speed on that thing? I really wish they would have lett the manual option with the 6.0. I guess they couldn't get the mpg with it since the AFM doesn't work with sticks. I'd probably be in line right now for a 6speed manual.

Great car...if I buy one, I think I'll put some Grand Prix badges on it and mail pics to GM Headquarters, and ask them how much better the car looks, and how much more name recognition the car now has

Call it a Grand Prix and make that 2 door photochop version elsewhere on this board, and I think they could sell WAY more than the 30k per year estimate. If Dodge can sell 100k per year of the clearly inferior Charger? Granted, the Charger does not get as cheap as the G8, but still...this car is better in every conceivable way.

Even if you've seen it in the showroom, it'll catch your eye! (Espicially in dark purple!)

Heh, that's funny... When mine comes in I was debating about stripping the pontiac badges off and slapping on some Holden ones!!!

I'd like to put the Holden hood and front facia on mine ... would be a little costly though.

I saw a red G8 GT on I-94 outside of detroit in January , I knew what it was when it was still a blurr . It has presence , thats for sure . In person , a direct head on or slight side angle is just badass , the fender flares are so much wider than any pic Ive ever seen represent .

The manual should be coming a little later.

Too bad the V6 wont be getting a manual. I would have definitely made my mom wait instead of getting the V6 M6 Accord coupe she got.

The only version I heard that is getting the manual will be the LS3 GXP version, the 6.0 L76 or whatever it's called won't be getting the manaul. That's the one I was hoping for.
