I think that is the wrong link.
That's odd. I posted some Lindsey Lohan pictures on a different website, but that's not a spanish website.
I also did it beforehand.
Anyway, I'll fix it as soon as I find the top gear link.

It's a long vid (over 13min).
Car looked great. I found the reported 212mph topspeed quite interesting

He's got one on order already judging by the vid. 1 of only 28 headed to the UK. Pretty damn lucky.Originally Posted by number77

also, they said it beat the stradale by .4 seconds. their test track must be very short. i was watching a documentary on tv as they were building them and they went and raced a standard 360 around a track and beat it by something like 10 seconds. and that was before they put in the production engine which had 100 more hp.

212 MPH! Sweet. I was watching a show about the autobahn and RUF (the guys that make the bad_ss Porsche cars) were testing a newly built car of theirs on the autobahn. They topped it out at 212 MPH. That's got to be a rush.Originally Posted by RiceEating5.0

I just watched that vid. Nice, very nice. Clarkson ran it out of gas and still didn't want to get out of it he loved it so much.

I don't think it was that short, it just has a lot of turns, which obviously the GT wasn't as good at as the ferrari (at least from the comments they were making).Originally Posted by number77

Also, 4 MPG??? Ouch.

Heh, 550 HP with the pedal down all the time. Yeah, I could see 4 MPG in that case Originally Posted by newby

Heck, I'd probably get 3 MPG in it
Funny thing is, that didn't phase Clarkson at all. Even getting 4 MPG racing it all the time he still had goo goo eyes.Registered User

Yeah, in the vid...didn't they say it was a track that tested handling and not hp necessarily? I think they said hp wasn't much of a factor in this specific track. Probably had a lot of hairpin turns and curves, and not much straightaway (where hp advantage can be used). Some of the guys were pretty confident the GT wouldn't beat the CS time.Originally Posted by newby

You ever go around a road course under full throttle? It uses a TON of gas - no matter what car you're in. I was fortunate enough to take a Car Guys "On Track" weekend course at Summit Point, WV back when I had my 99 T/A. Three 30 minute on-track sessions in a day drained a full tank from my car. It's a 2.1 mile course, and (being a rookie) took me ~1:50 to get around the track. Though rough guestimate, that's a total of ~98 miles and 15 gallons (car had enough to get to the gas station, so it didn't completely use all of it). Doing some math, that shows a whopping 6.5 mpg.
Road racing takes lots and lots of gas!

I realize that road courses use a lot of gas, but for some reason that still sounded low to me.
Even the "high" estimate for the car was only 12MPG.
What do cars like the Viper and Z06 get on a roadcourse MPG-wise, anyone know? (not that it matters that much, I just would like to know).
