Good looking car. Looks like GM is making a new displacement DI HF V6.

I've always liked "sport wagons" so this and the VE Sportwagon make me happy... But I wonder if/when this is really coming. Not to mention, I would like to see a diesel.

I wonder if that 27 mpg is from the 3.6 or 3.0L. The 3.0, I'd imagine.

BAM! Way-to-go, Caddy. I'm not into wagons so much, but this(especially the engine) = another point for GM.

ENGINE?
Well, the 'release sheet' mentions that this should be in similar size to the XC70, 3 series wagon, and A4 wagon.

The A4 Avant comes with a 200hp 2L TFSI or a 255hp 3.2L VR6. (28mpg or 25mpg w/premium on either)
The 328i chops out a 230hp 3L I6 (27mpg w/premium)
The XC70 gives out a 235hp 3.2L I6 (24mpg hwy)

If it actually gets in the same segment as those things, it'll get "class leading power" with the 260hp V6 or the 300hp V6 and be doing well for mpg. I would like to see it with the LNF (still 260hp) and the V6 diesel though.

I wonder how 'price-wise' and 'specification-wise' this would stack up against a VE Sportwagon...

Betcha that the combination of the 260HP 3.0L and the 6-sp auto would make this one very satisfying car to drive.

If this goes on sale in the US, I could probably talk the wife into one when her Roadmaster finally gives up the ghost.

Let me start by saying I HATE wagons.

That however, is decent.
