I'm really digging this car some reason...seems like it would be a nice little commuter car. What do you guys think? It looks almost exactly like the concept to me...

AdioSS 09-16-2010 02:44 PM

what kind of powertrain and fuel economy does it get?

soul strife 09-16-2010 02:45 PM

Looks like a great city car. The wheels are so tiny but I like that they kept the rear door handles hidden.

I would assume better than the Aveo, and I would assume that the aveo would get better than the Cruze's ~40mpg...so it could be a real winner when people are looking for super-frugal cars...but maybe I'm just overly optimistic!

Ya know, I think the headlamps are larger than the wheels :)

zq8colorado04 09-16-2010 02:53 PM

I'd like to see them shorten it even more and make a 2 door/2 seater to compete with the SmartCar...I'm really digging the styling on this tiny little car. I'm not trading in my Camaro by any means but after it's paid off I could see myself buying one to keep the miles off my car.

ImportedRoomate 09-16-2010 03:08 PM

Considering that the Smart car is doing horribly globally, I think they should pass on that idea.

Don't worry, they'll find a way for dubs to fit eventually.

I don't care for it at all personally. Still looks like an angry appliance.
The Fiesta is still the only small car that looks decent to me. Yes I realize this car is even smaller.

Kill it with fire.

Z28x 09-16-2010 03:46 PM

If it doesn't get 45mpg+ then I see no point to this car. Were people complaining that the Aevo was too big?

At least that car is RWD

jmsjags 09-16-2010 04:19 PM

the front looks amazing but the tall flat rear end on such a small car makes it look REALLY disproportionate. :yuck:

that's the reason most subcompacts look horrible to me. the fiesta, fit, and versa are 3 that manage to look good because the rear end is styled with a curve to it. the aveo on the other hand (yes i know it's a compact) has the same problem as the spark

HuJass 09-16-2010 04:28 PM

Not feelin' it.

But then the Spark has better rear passenger leg room because its FWD.

Indelibility 09-16-2010 06:16 PM

I wish the best for Chevrolet, I really do...but this car looks horrible

And as long or longer than the hood!

In the UK, a 1L or 1.2L engine (67 or 81hp) both are rated at 6.6L/100km city and 4.2L/100km highway. Sooo.... 35.7/46mpg? Though those are european ratings with european engines....
