When you say no one cares I am assuming you mean you dont... To me it very much depends on what you want out of it. A fun commuter car maybe. I had a very different view of it though when I thought it was also sitting on Alpha though.

Why are they putting an Aveo front end on any new car?!

Re: Chevy concepts From GM site
I don't like the Code 130R all that much. It is ok... It is proportioned somewhat like the 1 Series, and that is a bad thing.
The Tru 140S is pretty cool looking. I think you could live with 150HP if it really got 40mpg and didn't weigh too much. You might be able to turn up the boost too... |
Re: Chevy concepts From GM site
I like both of them! As mentioned before, the red one looks like the old Nomad concept with a different front end and a trunk instead of a wagon.

They're not Corvette flags.
Lotsa Chevys had flags on them back in the '60s. After seeing video of these cars on foxnews I am stupid impressed. The cars are both beautiful to me. Chevy got the rear ends especially right. I hope tha they remain the same and dont get dumbed down for production.

We're probably getting one or the other.

Chevrolet has room for both a Cruze coupe/hatchback and an entry level Alpha based RWD coupe/sedan. |

The problem with the people over at Jalopnik is they're completely out of touch with what 95% of the general public want from their cars. Especially in a segment which these two concepts are for - no one cares which wheels are driven and most are quite content with 150-200hp. These cars are about styling and technology. To be successful and sell in large volumes you need to appeal to the masses. Performance oriented vehicles and car companies will always be available to the enthusiasts. At least these concepts spark some passion in automotive design - something that has been lacking lately in many areas of the industry.

A FB group has been started asking GM to build the Code 130R. If you like the 130R or want to help out those who do, join the group.

I'd be for it, at least if they make a minor change...
