c6 z06 Nurburgring track time

I hope this isn't as repost. If it is, i'll delte it.

Looky
http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?vie...ID=0&tID=10073

Nordschleife exluding GP track 20.6 kms:
7:40* -- 161.217 km/h Corvette Z06, 505 PS/ 1419.7 kg (estimated), Jan Magnusen (AutoBild 7/2005) (*mfr.),

7 minutes and 40 seconds. That's 1 second within the 808hp Koenigsegg CCR and 4 seconds within the 400k+ dollar Carrera GT. It beat the regular c6 by 16 seconds.

All that performance, and GM's still talking about toping it with a BD ...as if the regular z06 wasn't wild enough.

I think the F1 was known more for its topspeed rather than all-out handling.

Handling wise, atleast on paper, the F1 wasn't that impressive.
Skidpad: 0.87g's
Slalom: 64.5 mph

Despite the power and the brute topspeed and acceleration, the z06 beating it is no real surprise with figures like that.

Corvette board seems to think it is not real, or that it may be the 700hp blue devil.

Where do you live?!?! Maybe a quater...if that.

The price is high to your average Joe, but for what performance you get, and for not that much over a loaded C6 Z51, Its really not that bad of a price.

And if it really is that fast....MAN!!

Re: c6 z06 Nurburgring track time

Wow....
I have a 2 story, 4bdrm, 3 bath, 2500 sqare foot ranch on a half acre of land, 2 car garage, appraised for $560k.
Hour from NYC and Philly, 10 mins from the beach.

Anyway, Z06 has the performance of cars twice its price, and all the same factor.
