C SRT8 spy pic, Chrysler Imperial, smaller HEMI, and other tid bits....
To start with, there was a picture taken of the new C SRT8 HERE. Notice the lack of chrome on the car and the large tailpipes, which could indicate the 6.1 HEMI. The lack of chrome supports the rumor that the SRT8 versions of the LXs will have less chrome.
Supporting the 8/15 thread, is rumored the unveiling of the Chrysler Imperial at the The Concours at Pebble Beach. Some rumored specs on the car: 124" WB, 212" length, and 4400lbs. Styling influence from 300C, Chrysler Phaeton showcar, Crossfire, Airflight, and even ME412. Price is rumored in the 44-46k range, would guess that is starting. One important thing about that though, is that would mean that is about where the C SRT8 and Dodge SRT8 would max out in price. Car also might get a smaller then SRT10 Ram and Viper Hemi 10. Car will have an engine with power ranging from 450-500hp, at least 6-speed Autostick, and Every modern luxury, power, electronic Do-dad & Ge-gaw availaible. Think Maybach With 300c Style and attitude for mucho less money!
The is also talk of a smaller v8 HEMI possibly replacing the 4.7 OHC motor. Mostly bcuz of cost of production. Rumored size would put it in the 4.0-4.4L size. No numbers have yet leaked if this rumor is true. This is pretty new and no one is confiming or denying, but is interesting never the less.
There are a few more smaller, less know, rumors to add too. There is still rumored of a HEMI Dakota by sometime in 06, but nothing has been confimed. Also, there is suppose to be a Plymouth name should up on a Dodge, but no one knows what the name is or when it will show up. One more that is rather new is a LWB Dodge version of the Chrysler Imperial. Again as the last though, no name yet to the rumors.
Now, a few facts:
Once Again:
XL-WB Chrysler Imperial/Newyorker is 'Virtually' Guaranteed
5.7 Hemi, 6.1 Hemi, (?-Larger than 6.1 Hemi V-8/10/12?)450-500hp
Chrysler 300: Convertible/coupe: GUARANTEED 101%
Chrysler Airflight-- I GUARANTEE IT - 101%
2.7 & 3.5 v-6---- 5.7 Hemi guaranteed, 6.1 SRT-8 quite possable
And, some more rumors:
Chrysler/Dodge LX-Crossover: Inevitable
Chrysler/Dodge SWB: Sportwagon: Possible
DODGE Magnum sedan: Very possible (Impala SS crowd & cops want it)
DODGE Charger: (Sedan and "Coupe/convertable") v-6's. 5.7 & 6.1
(More angular than Airflight)

What would be the point of a Magnum Sedan? Why not the low priced/base 300Cs? Or is this a case of the Dodge/Chrysler option?
Airflight? I'd like to see any pics/rendering of that concept/car

How long until they'll be able to show us what the Charger will look like? I'm curious as to what they went with. Personally, I'd prefer the 1999 concept over Khri's (sorry), but maybe a third option is viable?
Re: C SRT8 spy pic, Chrysler Imperial, smaller HEMI, and other tid bits....
What are the chances of us getting a Charger/Challenger 2 door coupe? Is it possible we could see a sub 30K 2 door Charger with a 5.7L. A 300C Coupe with the 5.& should come in the same as the 300C sedan so maybe 28k ish for the Charger?
Second, Will the Charger be smaller than a 300c sedan and Coupe? Hemi heads love boost? MMMMMMMMMMM turbo Hemi Charger.... (aftermarket that is)

Re: C SRT8 spy pic, Chrysler Imperial, smaller HEMI, and other tid bits....
I think chances are good right now to see a 2dr Charger seeing that a 2dr version of the 300C is coming. Sub 30k Hemi Charger, don't know yet. Will have to wait and see what pricing is.
The Charger is suppose to ride on a shorter wheel base then the 300C and Magnum. How much shorter thought, no one seems to be talking about. I would think closer to 110" though.
