hot rod magazine says thta it will be available at any chevy dealer in the first half of 2003

I think he means the Silverado SS. Although I have not seen anything from GM stating the truck will will be offered. I hope they do though.

Now that is what the SS should have been in the first place! If I were in the market for a sport truck, that would be it.

So is it going to have the 395hp mentioned in that silverado SS board or the same 345hp version found in the Escalade? I'm consfused.

For 23k and 395hp that truck would be pimp.

Has this been confirmed? I know it got a lot of excitement around it at SEMA, and GM guys said this is where they want to go with the Silverado SS but I haven’t heard anything about production? I don’t think hot rod is the best place to get news on new products. Let's look for an official release before we get all excited. I hope it sees production!

Gawd I'd hope it'd be quicker than that....380 HP Lightnings with a good driver can get into the 13's can't they?

The SS trucks will have the 345 hp motor. The SS will also be heavier than the lightning. The SS should run 15's.
