Very impressive numbers, and this isn't even the CTS-V.

I'm still getting used to the idea that the CTS has moved up in size and isn't the small Caddy anymore.

That's impressive performance regardless but somewhat less so in my mind because now its not the overachieving entry level Caddy. It's the direct E-Class, 5 Series and A6 competition. So it should perform like this. And the price reflects it.

Cool! Can't wait to see the actual V, well unless its the Vsport with the wick turned up a bit, that would be bad. I like my CTS-V cars V8 powered with a nice belt driven power adder.

If they wanted just a more powerful TT V6 then I bet the Vsport would have received a TT 3.0 while the V got the TT 3.6L.

They could got with the twin turbo LTx engine that is said to be in development. Or maybe an LT1 (still not used to that name for the new engine) with some tweaks that get it to 500HP.

Cool, but I want the CTS-V to have a FI V8 of sorts, preferably of large displacement.

I don't think Alpha+ is built to handle a 700HP engine, but I could be wrong.

Is it really 4000 lbs?

What does that mean for the next Camaro?

Re: 2014 Cadillac CTS V-Sport Tested

Hmm, while the market this is in might prefer a TT V6, I have to wonder how it compares to the LT1?

Next Camaro will not be AWD (200lbs.?)

The 2.0T/A6 RWD CTS is 3600lbs.

Love this car.

CTS-V will definately be V8 powered. I vote TT V8 at around 575-600hp (very conservative, would love to be impressed), and a touch lighter than the last one.

Rumor is the 6th Gen will be on the Alpha like ATS not Alpha+ like the CTS.

That said I would hope curb weight reduction is a top priority. It seems like with all the stuff in modern cars nowadays the weight loss of modern architecture is lost by added content. C7....

Re: 2014 Cadillac CTS V-Sport Tested

Kind of strange the 2014 CTS-V Sedan, Coupe and Wagon continue on one more year using the old body style. The word from GM is that the coupe and wagon are not coming back on the new body style.
