I love it. The front end is very bold and classy. The grill fits the body much better than on the last CTS. I don't really care for the front on the 08+ CTS with the exception of the V-series. This is a nice improvement. Perfect evolution of the CTS as far as I'm concerned. I can't wait to see the V.
2008 for side by side comparison
I felt that way when I fist saw the non-V 2008, but now I feel the opposite with the 2014+. I think this looks a lot more youthful and sporty than the last CTS.
I'm very surprised by how many people aren't liking the new car. I figured it would be a hit around here. 420HP TT V6 + 8 speed is just the icing on the cake.

Re: 2014 CTS first official pics
Compared to the previous CTS this is 5" longer with a 1.5" longer wheelbase. That puts this Alpha+ wheelbase at almost 6" longer than the ATS and almost 3" longer than the Camaro. I wonder where the Camaro will fit in? The best part though is the base 2.0T CTS is only 3600lbs, and the TTV6 V-Sport still manages to get in just under 4000lbs.

Re: 2014 CTS first official pics
Almost like a tail, ahem, of two cars. The front of this new CTS keeps with the Caddy art and science theme and somewhere near the rear doors it's gets softer for the rear end. The look from the front is great but it's almost like looking at two different cars when viewed from behind. It's lost some of that art and science edginess the last CTS had at the rear.

Styling OK, a bit less origami and a bit more sculpted vs. previous, but looks HUGE, like it should be the STS or even DTS.
If really only just over 3600 lb., excellent! Too bad no more wagon though...

Thank goodness. When I said I'd like to see a 6 series fighter people were telling me it wasn't happening.

Re: 2014 CTS first official pics
Take any rumor with a grain of salt because it's way, way, way too early for anyone to say anything like that. The last CTS coupe wasn't suppose to happen it's wagon was once iffy, and I think we've all read the earlier rumors about there being no ATS coupe (which is false).
While (like the last CTS) there will be no coupe or wagon at the start, we're almost certainly not quite at the final green light for a coupe or wagon CTS, which would come later.
Cadillac is going global, and the wagon...er..."Touring" still sells well in Europe, and the additional cost of the coupe is spread out over a global market (including China).
The best source of info in this one instance is GM itself since there'd be a much shorter lead time between approval and production than it would be for the car their based on.
