Re: 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 First Test
Private owner ran a 11.89 @ 123.2mph bone stock, and 11.25 @ 129 on DR's only.
DA was about 1800ft. 60' on stock run was 2.06, and on the DR run was 1.80.
Car will be in the 10's on DR's only, with good conditions.

Can't wait for the east coast hero runs when the fall comes rolling in! The Boss 302 guys have had it in limelight long enough.
Speaking of the 5.0 in the Boss (and this one isn't) that motor continues to impress me
2011 Mustang GT Load Bearing Dyno Run 520 RWHP 7700RPM - YouTube
This is the dyno run for a modded engine laying down over 500 rwhp naturally aspirated. I just wish Ford would [censored] the [censored] and start making these things in displacements comparable to what GM is doing.

The thing is it is easier to package more displacement in a pushrod motor than an OHC. Of course you can make an OHC engine have as much displacement as you want, but it will have larger external dimensions than a pushrod motor.

Plenty of space in a Mustang engine bay, as long as they can squeeze it in about a 30x30x30 package (roughly, or it might be 30x30x26)

I like Grabber blue as well, especially with the white stripe combo.

I see one almost everyday at the gym. It is not green enough. I see too much of the gold flake and it looks kind of "pea" colored to me. The Grabber Blue is beautiful.

How is it off topic? First of all it's my thread. Secondly last time I checked a GT500 is a Mustang! You are really something else Whitehawk you are the most cheerleader person on this board. You LOVE Camaro we get that.

Going from the GT500 first test to mentioning one month's sales numbers isn't going 'off topic'?
There are big-time cheerleaders on both sides that post here. Just remember that this is technically still a Camaro site though (errr - it is, isn't it?)

Re: 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 First Test
Has the GT500 been run around the ring or are there any plans? I haven't seen tough may have missed if this has been done in the GT500. The quarter mile is great, I've got hundreds and hundreds of passes myself running 12's, 11's, and 10's. For me personally running for a sustained period, with a multitude of conditions and situations, using every ounce of capability built into the platform, will showcase everything this vehicle has to offer.
Just looking for something more than a short 11 second straight line blast to evaluate and compare the GT500 and the ZL1.
