FWIW, a couple dealers in these parts are advertising they have LS Camaros in stock ready for purchase.

The 4cyl Turbo is coming for the Mustang.

This will become the entry level car.

This board needs some news, its not even a dead horse anymore, its just a pile of dust on the ground.

As has been stated a hundred times before, the cost of the Camaro is not all that much more than it has always been after being adjusted for inflation. The price keeps going up because the dollar is being flushed down the drain.

I just read ProudPony's latest, and it's pretty convincing.

A lower cost Camaro would sell on styling and/or image. For those, I can't see weight making a difference. Changes in size would change styling, so a different length could indirectly affect appeal.

You make an eloquent and convincing argument. I hope the right people are reading this.

Personally, I think a smaller car would translate the styling much more effectively and be attractive to more that just middle aged and older men. And lighter is cheaper because: allows lower powered and cheaper powertrains (even 4 cyl), less expensive chassis/brakes/wheels/tires, and generally subtracting several hundred pounds of metal, plastic and glass.

Thnaks very much.
I have deep convictions about Classic American Iron...

New stuff is fair game for anything, but let legends live like they were made to, or die with dignity.
