Does that mean the Ecoboost 4cyl. will match the Equinox's 32mpg? Also, I really like that new front end. The Edge Sport looks pretty good. GM has nothing on Sporty crossover side like this.

Ford has really stepped their game up as well as GM. It's nice to see new top of the line products coming from both Manufacturers!

Looks quite sharp. Without seeing it in person, I think I like the chrome front end better than the blacked out look. The new interior styling is nice, too.
However, I am not sure I'm a big fan of LCD screens being spread all over the interiors of newer cars. It looks to me like that tachometer is not a real guage, but a display on the an LCD screen. In fact, it looks like the car has LCDs on both sides of the speedo (like the Fusion hybrid, I think). Plus a giant one in the center dash.
I also don't know about that Sony head unit for the HVAC controls (or HVAC / stereo / nav, I guess).
I guess this is the way of the future. I sure how LCD screens have reached commodity status, so when one of those goes out, it isn't a $Arm.00 replacement part.
I may be old fashioned, but the guage cluster on a C6 Corvette is just about perfect for me. I know the LCD interface allows for infinite possibilities of information to be displayed, but I don't want that in front of my face in place of guages. I guess I'd better get used to the idea sooner or later...

Actually I like the Magnetti Marelli and to a lesser degree the Motec digital, or Stack info screens done for racing use. File this under "no way in hell of finding a way into street cars".

I'm not a fan of that IP. The tiny tach looks like an afterthought (or an LCD as 96_Camaro_B4C suggests) and is pretty much useless tucked in the corner over there. I also don't like the speedo with the 0 clocked to 6 o'clock and ending at 1 o'clock. The bottom of the speedo is completely cut off in this pic, and while it might just be the angle, some people do like their steering wheels high. I just seems more natural for a speedo to be symmetrical and 0 to be around 7 or 8 o'clock.

The styling reminds me a lot of my Torrent GXP, especially from the back and side with the fender flares around the wheel wells. But my GXPs 18" wheels look tiny compared to those 22" wheels.





You could say that in regards to just about any car
