Arrow Please pick a tire on my "best tire" poll

I've never done a poll before so I'm not sure how to do it so I'll just list the tires I've picked here too and explain the situation. I only buy new front tires about every five years or so and wear Nitto 555R drag radials out back. After doing some research here are the tires I have come up with that are in my price range. I'm already familiar with the price so leave that part out of the comparison. What I'm looking for is regardless of price ....which tire among these has the best dry road performance? (if it's a really loud tire I do not want it though)

1. Goodyear F1 GS-D3
2. BFG G-Force KDW
3. Yokohama A520
4. Sumitomo HTR Sport
5. Potenza RE 730

I am very torn from the research I have done ....if anyone has pics of any of these tires handy please post them, as looks matter to me a bit too. Thanks

One of the best dry road tires are G-Force KD
they are a bit pricy and do not work on snow (ask me how I know)

after haveing a couple that are on that list... i would say the best it the Kumho MXs...
NOT the 712 that everyone on there mom has but the MX is there higher performance tire...

GREAT traction both dry and wet. and they are fairly cheap

After doing some extreme research and then finally coming across this link (which was right under my nose at Tirerack.com all along) ....I think this decides it for me .....

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/max.jsp

Thanks for the help. I read another review which states the GS-D3 even outperforms the Michelin Pilots !

The KD's would be my choice if money simply didn't matter to me. redimpss5....not flaming but why even bother?

I read a lot of reviews after doing a search on yahoo and the F1 GS-D3 is simply newer, better technology than other tires comparably priced (and better than more expensive tires too....see link from last post). Everyone raved about how quiet they are and how the outside edges don't show wear after lots of hard driving. Also, as stated they even outperform Michelin Pilots in just about every test and Pilots are serious, serious tires. I also like the tread design of the F1 ....awesome looking! I've also decided it's a good idea to have a tire that does somewhat well in the rain, as it's unavoidable sometimes.

Well, now I have another expense to attend to ....I hit a 50lb dog a couple nights ago and killed it, no way it could have been avoided as he jumped out about 10 feet in front of me @ 50 MPH. It took out my RK sport grille, headlight covers, fog lights, turnsignal covers, and dented the front edge of the hood. I may even need a new front clip but it looks ok at a glance.....can't tell 'cause I haven't cleaned it up so the insurance co can see it.

It's a shame your Tire Rack comparison did not have the new Kuhmo Ectsa MX, which is there max perf tire, exclusing the racing tires. It's got a good price, and I'd like to see how it measures up to a G-force KD, the dry handling champ. The new F1-G3s look good, but I do wonder what the F1 Supercar would do on our cars. It is supposed to be fabulous.

You have the Ecsta MX? Do you run at the road course, and if so, how has it done?
