ledfoot... I posted over at LS1 also, but as soon as dates are confirmed for 2003 let us know.

There are several us F-body guys that would like to make the trip to Corpus at least once next year, but we need to know dates ahead of time so we can start planning.

You should come up to the DFW area to http://www.motorsportranch.com with us sometime.

Also, several us are going to Texas World Speedway on March 1-2 with http://www.thedriversedge.net - there should be about 6-8 f-bodies going that weekend.

I almost went to an event at tws earlier this year, but didn't because of hte price and the fact that they were not going to do any timing. I guess we're a little spoiled with 2 races a month down here that have timing and placing orf cars.

Yea... I think you are very lucky. Most all events are within easy driving distance of the DFW area are usually two day events put on by [url]http://www.thedriversedge.net[/ur], http://www.nasatx.com, or the BMW & Porsche clubs.

Usually the prices are all about the same $250 -275 per weekend.

No timing is done for your insurance purposes. For NasaTx events you can rent transponders, but we usually just for the fun pull out the ole' stopwatch or usually just settle it on the track.

I would think the timed events would be fun. Look forward to maybe getting down there next year.

The monthly Porsche events we go to are one day with about 40-60 minutes of practice time on the track, then timed runs. It is $20 for those, $100 for the two day events with trophies and t-shirts.

Yeah, we get a little spoiled here. That is why I am trying to get more F-bodys invovled. There are usually only us two in f-bodys out there. COrvettes are pretty numerous, but they are easy game. We are hunting down an almost full-race Porsche 911 right now. We'll get him one of these days....just too much damn weight!
