Talking Z06 rims...need tires sizes and internet places

Yup you read it right. I came across enough $$$ to get Z06 rims and tires. But here is my delay, I need locations. Ebay used to sell Z06 rims plus tires for like $1400 0r 1500 but they aren't listed anymore that I can see. I'm trying to find chrome 18X9.5 front and 18X10.5 in the rear. I'd like to know all the tire sizes that can fit each tire and where I can find the rims and also find the tires. If anyone was considering selling this combo (if you have it), then drop me a line. Or if you can get an inside source on rims or tires, please let me know. Thanks for everyone's help!

ps-Sorry I haven't been around. I just got back from Atlanta this weekend. I should have pictures on my website in a few weeks. Its only going to be about 14-20 roles of film I have to have developed, scanned, saved, uploaded, and linked to.

I have some chrome ZO6's that are 17x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear. I picked them up on LS1.com with tires for $1000. The tires are Compt TA ZR's, 295/35/18's in the rear, and 275/40/17's in the front. These tires hook pretty damn good, and are very good in the rain. For a 18x9.5 wheel you would want to get either 275/35's or some 285/35's. I am not sure if the speedo is measured by the front or rear wheel, but if it is the front then it may be off by just a little with 275/35's. With the combo I am running, my speedo is more accurate than with the factory 245's. My speedo is about 1 mph slow, on my factory tires it was about 5 mph slow.

I am looking for a 18x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear, that ebay post is for 18x10.5 rear and 17x9 front. Close but on cigar. So far wheelreplicas.com has the best price for what I want. And does anyone know sizes that won't require spacers yet the tires will still fit cleanly without rubbing? I have a 1994 Z28 with stock suspension.

I am running 295/35/18's in the rear and do have some rubbing issues. I have "massaged" the wheel well, but they still rub on the inside above the tire when I hit bumps.

Will 18X9.5 rims with 275/35/18's tires rub on either the front or back of the car? I decided to go with 18X9.5 all around so I can do tire rotations like I'm supposed to. Will I need to have any spacing involved here? Thanks

So far, the best prices I have found is from one of our very own advertisers, http://www.aaarims.com

Check the prices there and see if they are any better. I would personally rather have REAL GM OEM wheels than replicas, and the price for real ones aren't too bad.

Plus take into consideration that you get free shipping for being a CamaroZ28.Com member, it might be cheaper to get real OEM wheels that way. Hope this helps.

But let's talk about this...

I have a 1.2" drop in my car, and plan to go with real Z06 wheels, with the 18x10.5 in the back. Will they rub? I personally don't see how they will if I use a tire that has the exact same height as the 17" wheel/tire that came on the car. I did have 17x10.5 Simmons wheel with 315 tires on them that rubbed on the inside of the wheel well, but only when turning and the body leaned a bit. I didn't feel like bashing up in the inner wheel well to make it work so I am selling them...to go with the Z06 wheels.

Just wanna make sure they will work. The ZL1 Prototype has lowering springs and the 18s on it, so I think it will be okay.

So, after all that...what does eveyone else think?

I got my 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 chrome z06 wheels and sumitomo htrz2 tires 265x35 and 285x35 for $2144 shipped. That was mounted, balanced, lugnuts, locks, everything. They have a 3 yr chrome warranty, where pwo or anyother site only has a 1yr. I got them from extreme motrosports. My car is also lowered with 2" Intrax springs. If you need more info pm me.
