wtf? is with this grill

ok, so i got this used billet grill for my car. i dont know what brand it is but it has 9 bars and its black except for the front of the bars and they are polished. anyways i cant get it to go in very good. it wont sit flush because of the vertical bars in the back, thats ok. but the bottom of the grill doesnt sit in very good at all. it sticks out like an inch farther than the top of the bottom of the bottom piece of bumper. it doesnt really look bad, just kinda weird. ive tried everything to get it in more but all im doin is scratchin the hell out of the car, into the plastic. help!

That's strange. You have removed the factory grille correct? Look at the pics of mine on my site as a reference to the fitment.
