Will the rims off a 97 Z28 fit on a 94??
I have a 94 camaro with salad shooters on it... I recently found some perfect chrome rims off a 97 Z28 and they are going to sell them to me for $300 + my salad shooters. I am just wondering if the rims would fit correctly?
Thanks in advance

I dont have a dremel... so that sucks.
Did anyone else have to do that? Or is there any other way to open up the rear wheels?

Yes they do, you have to open up the rear wheels or they won't go on the hub. Just get a dremel and take some material off the inside. This is what i did

When you look at the inside of the wheel, there is a hole that the raised portion of the axle "hub" fits in. On the early 4th Gens, the rear hub diameter was approx 0.03" larger than the front hub. In later models, that was corrected. In order to fit the later model wheels on an earlier chassis, it is often necessary to remove the small ridge on the inside of the wheel's hub opening.
A Dremel makes it easier, but there is no reason you couldn't remove this small amount of soft metal with sandpaper or a file. You might want to do it on all 4 wheels, so that when you rotate the wheels and tires you don't forget to grind out the other 2 wheels.

So just look inside the rim and I will see the ridge that I need to sand down? Or is the ridge on the axle? Sorry for all the questions but I a little confused.

Thanks for everyones help. I just bought the rims today and I filed down the ridge in the the rims(well in 2 of them at least) and they fit and look great!! I'll post pics when I can, but I dont think it would be too cool because my car still doesnt have a front end on it yet. Thanks again

If I read this thread earlier, you could have borrowed my Dremel In fact I have a cordless Dremel that the battery runs out in 5 minutes, and corded, cheap but powerful Chicago brand or some crap.
