Whister, or anyone else: how do you tint headlights or taillights?

I'm not talking total blackout lights. I mean like this: http://www.brevardstreetracing.org/p...1/Mvc-016s.jpg

Hmmm.... I don't know for certain. That idea is completely new to me... it doesnt look half bad, but the rest of the car seems a bit... extreme. My guess would be to buy a roll of that stick on window tinting from Wal-Mart or AutoZone and just cut it to fit. If you mess up, try and scrape it off and start over... that's the only trick I've got! Hope it helps!

I just got me some of the VHT Nite Shades paint a couple of weeks ago...I haven't had time to put it on yet, but it is a "light tint." From what I understand: It is similar to a spray paint but it is more iradescent...and when the lights come on, it affects the output none whatsoever. Here's the company website on it...I have asked about it before, and I have been told, that you must make the necessary preparations or it will come out looking like crap. I was told to wet sand the lens with a fine grit paper and then to buff out the lens. But if it gives off a good look, I wouldn't mind the work.

If you think you are going to buy some of this stuff, let me know...because I found a place local to me to get it, for only $7.99 a can...Summit sells it for quite a bit more than that, plus you gotta pay like $15 for hazardous shipping on it...just contact me if you are looking to get some.
