I am putting Hids in my Z , 9006's for the lows . I need
to know what bulb # will fit into the factory 93-97 fog
lamp housings . Please help . Thanks in advance

I dont think they make an 885 in HID's . Is there a bulb
that will work in the factory fog housings ?

What HID kit you going to run? I have been trying to figure out a good kit to get for my SS what number you doing 5000k or 6000k?

Bulb # that fit stock housing, 885 is the original. 893 fits. All I can remember right now.

I know of 880 kits but don't know if that will fit. You may have to glue it in but thats pretty ghetto.

I plan on 6000K for the low beams and 8000K for the fogs


I figured since it was specifically for LT1 fog lamp information
it was okay in LT1 tech .

Well, I don't think you'll have much luck trying to find a true HID bulb replacement for the stock fog light housings, as to my knowledge, there simply aren't any available. You could probably custom wire up a set of HID lights, and make a custom hole in your stock housings for them, but again, it would be a totally custom job.

I ended up going for some aftermarket fogs that offered an HID light system. They are un-believable as far as the quality and quantity of light goes. Got them from PIAA.
