What does it take to put TransAm Door Panels and other panels in a 94 Z28?

What does it take to put TransAm Door Panels in a 94 Z28? Will everything plug up? What about the speaker, that would most likely have a Monsoon speaker in it since the newer black TransAm Door Panels come with those. I would also need the whole interior panel set and since my car has the one speaker in the back on the driver side, I would need whatever panel and speaker that would bolt right in and plug up. I have a hard top, so finding black a pillar panels is going to be hard isnt it? What year Camaro's had black interior that will match the black TransAm panels? I am thinking about going with black leather Camaro seats and I want everything to match.

There are a couple guys here who have experience with this.

I have Trans Am door panels and am "considering" installing them in my Camaro but not sure yet. The fit perfectly when just hanging there on the plastic tabs. However, the major issues for me are they don't line up to the exisiting bolt/screw holes. You have to custom fab up spacers and mounts for the three heavy duty screws that actually hold the panel tight to the door. Another issue is the power mirror wiring. It in no way comes close to the "plugging in". I have the schematics but haven't taken the time to figure it out... mainly because I believe shoebox already has and if I do this I'll just ask him how. LOL!

Here are some pics of them just hanging on the door...

Don't know about your speaker questions... I was going to redo that part anyway :)

Thanks Brent! I cant belive it takes that much work to swap door panels in cars that are supposed to be so alike. :) Do the door lock and window buttons plug up?

the camaro power window harness plugs right into the T/A switch, but the power mirror harness won't (it has to be re-wired).

Thanks! I still have to figure out what to do about the rest of the interior. :)

I have an all Ebony TA interior waiting to go in, unfortunately it is missing the door panels! Every time I run across one door panel the other is smashed. If you are looking for the panels at the typical shops (ta creations, Speedauto, bill grahm) be ready to be on the waiting list for a while, your behind me on the list at least. In my car the door panels will go in easily, I have roll up windows, non power mirrors, and manual door locks so it is only a matter of adding a power window motor for the swap to work in my car. The bolt holes are a relatively minor problem compared to wiring the locks and mirrors. It can be done, but it won't be fun.

Ebay is the place to find them, no waiting list there. :)
