are the undercoated wheel wells in rear paintable

Sure they are, I do it all the time on my Blazer after some deep mud runs 
After I wash it down, they still have that dirty look to them so I give 'em a quick shot of paint to clean them up.

The usual stuff on a set of Nittos and a dead posi.
60' = 1.920
1/8 = 8.368 @ 83.88
1/4 = 12.968 @ 108.04

Just make sure they're clean. Blow them out with compressed air if you've got access to an air compressor. You may want to use semi-gloss black instead of gloss. The semigloss wont reflect any light and will make the wheelwell look darker.
