Trim Piece on the Door

My passenger side doors trim piece is starting to come off. It is beginning to peel off from the front of the door and it looks pretty bad. I am looking to replace/fix it, but I don't have any idea as to how to do it.

I'm guessing that I would have to just totally replace it because it even started to affect it more towards the middle of the trim piece. I called the dealer to check them out, they are almost $60 (I would have to paint it). If I did have to replace it, is there a chance that I could pull one off of another Camaro and have it still be usable?

no they come painted just need to make sure you remove all of the tape from the door before you put the new peice on

Really? When I called the dealer today the guy I spoke to said that they didn't come painted. So from what you said, I'm guessing that they are on the door by double sided tape?

I totally agree :D .
It's so easy to do,just pull those suckers off and give the area a good polish.

When I go to pull it off I will give that a try. Does anybody have any pics of what their car looks like without them?

That does look pretty good. I'll have to think about just ripping them all off. What stuff would you recommend I use to polish the area after?

I just used regular car polish/wax.You will be able to remove most of the gunk with your thumb or finger,it sort of just rolls off.

Well I began to work on getting the one off of my door today. I had to stop for now, but it came off really easily. I can't say the same for the adhesive crap. I got most of that stuff off now, but there is still a little bit left on there that I can't seem to get off. And apparently when the previous owner "fixed" it, they scratched it up pretty good under the piece. The scratches aren't too bad, but definitely noticeable. What can I do about the scratches?

I agree, I think it does look better without. I'm probably going to try to take care of the rest tomorrow and see how it goes.
