The V6 to V8 conversion can get pretty pricey.

If you want to do that, sell your V6 and get an older (93-95) Z28.

if i were you, I would just leave my v6 stock and save money and buy a lt1 or ls1 camaro then mod it to hell. otherwise, I wouldn't take the v6 overboard. just some rims, lower it and some tint should do.

A v6 to v8 conversion can be very time consuming and costly as noted. On the flip side, there is a very good aftermarket for the 3.8 series V6 and some different forced induction options you can choose from. Its kind of hard to steer you in any given direction because it really depends on your budget and goals for the car.

So do you REALLY have a TH350 (3 speed automatic that hasn't been factory installed in an f-body since the 3rd gens started) or is it the stock a4???

Pretty reasonable considering the labor that needs to be done and the parts themselves.

Even the 3rd gens had the 700R4 with is an auto 4 speed not an auto 3 speed (th350). Stock you car would have had the 4 speed auto (4L60E IIRC.)

Like I've said, GM hasn't put the th350 into a factory f-body since the 2nd gens died.

Oddly not true but close enough.. they did stick them in the 82 f-bodies (first year of the thirdgen) But after that it was all 4 speeds. either the 200r4 or the 700r4, with the 700r4 being in everything after '84 for certain. The first 3 years of the thirdgen was a giant experiment i swear lol.

On that note i wouldn't think anyone would put a th350 behind a v6.. what would be the point.

Oh.. and for the price of an engine/trans swap you could probably find a v-8 car. use your v-6 as a DD, and you the v-8 as you fun car and dump the money into that. Seems to work the best that way in my experience

You see alot of people saying that they have corvette trannies because they have a few hardparts that the vette tranny would have. Maybe this is the case here as well, but was dubbed "350" instead.
