Sylvania White Stars... LT1 Style lights... Have questions...

Can these 9006 bulbs be put into LT1 Style Headlights or do I really have to change the whole headlight everytime one goes out? Also how much better than stock are these lights? I would like something a bit brighter than it is now so I can see worth a rat at night but I wanted to keep the same style headlight, not those PIA's.

Imjust installed the on my '97. I replaced both the high/low beams. It is brighter at night, but not much. Do a search, that's where I got my info from.

Or you can do the same thing only mount some HID's in there.

I installed some sylvania silver stars in my old stock housing and they didn't really help much at all. They are also like $20 a piece. I suggest you just buy 2 sets of Hella ff75's and mount them in place of your old stock headlights. Mine cost me $37 shipped for a set of 2 off ebay. They also closely resemble the stock lights but have a more aggressive look if you ask me. I have a pic or two on the first page of my sig of my car with the Hellas in them. They are 100x brighter and the same price as stock headlights.

I put in some non-dot approved 9006s in my factory glass housings...they are way better...just make sure you get the stuff that isn't DOT approved or it won't make a difference...

Z95m6's suggestion of converting to FF75s is the best bang for the buck. I run Hella 90mm DOT legal round headlights and love the lighting and look but they are more expensive (~60$ each) and require more fabrication. Do a search on FF75 and you'll find several install threads. I think it'd be an easier install than cutting out the bulbs from the factory sealed beams and gluing in the 9006s. Plus the lens and reflector are much better technology and will provide much better lighting than brighter bulbs in the stock sealed beams.
