Side pipes???

Does anyone have side pipes on their Fbody or know anyone that has them? If so, pictures would be greatly appreciated.

The reason I ask is becuase I am considering doing side pipes on the Z and then adding front and rear ground effect pieces. Do you think this would look good??

That photoshoped picture looks like ***.
I wouldn't mind if the pipes were hidden by the body cladding and just the tips stuck out the side, like on the SVO Mustangs.........

All three years of the SVO's all have rear exit exhaust...I think you might mean the SVT's? That does look great, noticed it on a yellow Cobra about 5 years ago, very clean.

I was watching an episode of 'Trucks' over the weekend and the guy installed side skirts on a 79 (i think) el camino (link at bottom). They are 80" in length, not for sure but f-bodies and the el camino look close in length. Some fabircation would probably need to be done, but I just thought I'd thow it out there. I have always like that look. I think the side skirts add a little something. The whole pipe exposed like in the first picture doesn't look right on 4th gen's in my opinion. These are a little boxier than what I first thought, but you get the picture.

Just a thought

Yeah, that first pic is way obviously photoshopped, those are vette sidepipes and it does look like ***.

Im going to go with a long tube header, and do true dual exhaust dumping out from in front of the rear tires with some oval tubing and a low clearance muffler. Should sound and look wicked if it comes out the way I want.

I have the same setup on my 70 Chevy truck and it sounds awesome and because my dad and I did a good job tucking it up all you can see is the tip sticking out the side and thats it.

I don't really care for the last one either. I like the idea of side skirts and them a sweet tip at the end. IMO

That red one is hideous but the yellow PS by Paul looks good. Something like that would be a hit.

I will just keep with my rear exit though. I'm humble.
