That does look pretty nice. I may have them removed when the paint goes on next month.

Buffdaddy 01-26-2004 06:47 PM

The side moldings look okay I guess, it seems like it does not belong their.

ErockZ28 01-26-2004 06:53 PM

how do you take them off without hurting any paint or having to repaint? I WANNA DO THIS

gunter96ws6 01-26-2004 07:00 PM

well take your car and put er in the garage (if you have one) and let er get warm. take a heat gun or hairdryer in my case and get it warm, after that, run some fishing wire behind it and pull it off. there will be a layer of glue that most likley didnt come off, take your thumb (or what ever finger you want(i used my thumb)) and rub it off. afterwards take some goo gone and a rag and scrub off the wax lines around it and youll be done. not a hard task, make sure your car hasnt been painted, if it has be sure they painted under it and re-applied the molding if they painted over it your sol and you cant do it, hope it works out good~gunter

lol ill have my uncle or gramps do it they can build cars from scratch i just drive em lol

ucnu112 01-26-2004 07:22 PM

I didn't heat 'em up or anything, I just got them started and pulled them off. (Probably helped that it was summer, but that's not the point. :D)

A little WD-40 to take off the goo, and off to the carwash afterwards!!
