Side Marker Strobes...?

Has anyone put strobe lights (whelen 90w) strobe bulbs, or any other strobe head in the marker (front blinkers) lights? I'm not sure if there is enough room without melting the lens. Thanks a lot for all your help....

Haven't done it on out cars, but put a nice set in a ford contour show car. They require a good 1" hole to mount in, and about 2" of clearance. The power supply is what generates all the heat, I don't think you'd have a problem melting anything in the light housing itself. We've got them in the backup light housings, tailights and headlights, and no melting has occurred.

Thanks for your input. I have four 90w whelen strobes in my tail lights. I think I may try in the spring to put them in. I'm not sure what the housing looks like, for I have not taken the marker light out. (on my 97ss camaro). I'm just not sure if theres enough room on the housing to drill the 1" hole.

I have strobes in my front fog light housings and in the rear back-up light housings. About 1" clear to the lenses. No problems with the stock housings.

Of course that's my F-150 truck we use for traffic control when we are paving roads.... so you might want to consider a nice orange overhead light bar too.... always gets their attention :) :) :)

Do you have any idea how much room I have in the orange front corner marker lights?
