Just finished working on car this weekend. It sat in garage with hood open for 2 years. When closing hood i had some issues. I had to push pretty hard to get it to close and the front corners sit up above the fenders. I was wondering if the hood warped when it was open. The gas shocks are on outside and the sides of hood are sitting high.

 

Not likely. That the gas struts off oil the hinges and try again.

The hood has 2 bumpers that it sits on on each side of the front of the engine bay. your hood could be sitting on top of the fenders because of that.

 

I agree it must be the little rubber bumpers. That's really all that can change when sitting a long period like that, because the rubber stretches out and maybe even gets a little brittle.
