how hard is it to take off clearcoat on wheels
if i decide to clearcoat my wheels which im going to do BTW, if it starts to flake off over time, or peel, how hard would it be to strip off the clearcoat, what would i have to do to get it off the wheels is it easy to do

Easiest way is to use paint stripper but then you have to paint the color on too not just the clear
let the stripper "soak" for about an hour or untill it's all crinkley and dry then take a plastic scraper to it finish off with a brush clean with dish soap and water let dry then you can start painting |

I dunno about polished aluminum
I didn't know polished wheels had clear coat on em :confused: |

They don't have a clear coat, that's why he is asking if it's easy to remove so if it peals AFTER he clear coats them he can get it off :)

Yea it will be easy. Read the back of a can of stripper make sure it won't screw your aluminum though If I stop by autozone tomorrow I'll take a look at em and let ya know |
