Hood and Dual Quad Fog light setup questions.
(1) Car is going into the shop for paint next week and I'm leaning towards putting a SS hood on my 97Z.Are there any brands/companies I should stay away from? I see that they are all over internet, but am worried about some of the prices.E5ay has one for 209.99,makes me wonder. Is is going to be any difference if the price if he has to strip the old paint off the hood or just sand and prime the new one? May be something I need to ask him.
(2) For those of you who have the quad fog light setup( not sure if I can post link),what lights did you use and how is the output?

Cheap $200 hood is going to look like it...It will be wavy and more than likely fit like crap.
If you are particular about it spend the money on a decent quality- by that I mean probably more in the $700 range or higher. Some people have bought a cheap hood and somehow got it to fit, but everything I have read about guys trying it they end up not happy in the end because it fit like crap and they had to do a ton of work to it in order to try and make things line up- which consisted of making concessions that it wasn't going to look close to perfect and just decided it was 'good enough'.
My advice- spend some coin on either an OEM if you can find it or just wait. Personally I wouldn't go for it if its not in the wallet right now. In my opinion, nothing takes away from a car than crappy poor fitting hood- esp on a 4th gen where the hood is such a center piece.
