Whats the max wattage bulb you can use with the stock wiring for a 93-97 camaro, would an 80w bulb be fine? I know an 80w bulb isn't legal, but neither is my tint, lack of front plate or exhaust, so that doesn't bother me too much.
Watts = Volts X Amps. 80w for a 12v system would be about 6.666amp.,
with start up current might be 8 amps. max. So you need at least an 18ga. or larger wire. As it will handle 10amps. continuous. Or a 120w bulb would be pushing the limit.
16ga. good for 156w.
14ga good for 204w.

Well, my conversion with "Silverstars" went well. The lights are white but not bright enough and i'm thinking HID conversion in the near future.

and might give them a shot. They look pretty good, but it kinda looks cheesy with blue headlight lamps. Oh well, beggers can't be choosers i guess.
The Eurolamps conversion was one of the best mods I did to the headlights. I got tired of trying to silicone in the silverstar bulbs. Now I can just plug and play. Trust me, $80 or so for a set of lowbeams is beyond worth it, and the bulbs they come with were pretty bright.
