ebay find: '97 F-1 Camaro with other appearance changes

Pretty darn cool looking! And only 11,400 miles on it! It's really becoming increasingly rare to see excellently modified 4th gens on ebay the last few years and this is pretty incredible. It's hard to tell what everything even is. It doesn't have the proper F-1 ground effects, and I don't think you could get an SS hood as part of F-1, so perhaps the only F-1 aspect is the floor mats. Either way... it's awesome.

If has a TON of no-longer-available appearance items on it, like the carbon fiber steering wheel ring and other stuff.

Info and a few more pics here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dale-...item4cf1ddbb32

I assume that is a signature on the driver side inner fender and not scratches considering the condition of the rest of the car. Any idea who that would belong too?

Other than that the car looks pretty sharp, with the exception of the clear covers.

(Brandon: I finally located my F-1 information flyer!)

The rear spoiler, side skirts and rear bumper valance could very well be F-1 parts (which were the exact same parts used on the 1996 & 1997 RS cars).

Even though the floor mats are listed in the F-1 flyer, they were not really specific to that car. They could easily be bought over the counter years back.

The hood is appears to be a genuine SLP hood off of a 1996/97 SS (or the GM replacement hood for the same)

The air filter box assembly is from SLP Performance parts, a version originally to offered with a "fresh air" aftermarket hood package for the 1994-96 Impala SS. Except for the missing logos on the air filter frame piece ("Z28 SS" or "Camaro SS"), it is identical to the one used on the 1996/97 SS cars.

The wheels on this car are definitely aftermarket.

16x8" or 17x9"" painted ZR-1 wheels/tires could be bought for the F-1 package as well.

There were 5 different packages available for the F-1.

The"F-1" logos were only available when the "F-1 Specialty Vehicle Sport Package" was purchased, which included the 4 body pieces (front air dam, side skirts, 3 piece rear spoiler & rear bumper valance) , suspension package, cold air induction system and ornamentation kit (F-1 logos & a Dash plaque)
