I understand that people can make an 8 cylinder run faster times for cheaper. But why do you want to jump all over someone that takes on a challenge? If you want to see a 10 second Honda and a 9 second 3000GT VR4, they live in my town. You don't have to be so hateful all the time. Get to know some of the actual import racing guys and they could teach you something. You'd be surprised what you could learn from other people if you give them a chance.

 

Who's being hateful? You can mod any car and make it faster (and be able to teach somebody a lesson with it ). I just don't really see the point of sinking lots of money into a vehicle and getting less in return. Still, to each their own and I still give them respect. I don't understand why people mod out FWD econoboxes though because in the end they still look like FWD econoboxes. A 3000GT VR4 is a different story.

I just hate rice. Those appearance mods by people with no taste. Big wings, altezzas, fart tips, millions of decals, etc.

 

The only thing wrong with that Acura is the big wing.

 

I get what you're saying, I feel the same way. I think that rice is a black mark on the racing community. They glorify all that is wrong with racing today, the stickers and all the wings and fart cans with neons in them. What happened to strippin your car down just to gain hundrendths of second on your time? I used to trash talk all the rice around my town. Not one of them could touch anyone in my club, even the 6ers. But one night I messed with the wrong guy. A Timber Green Metallic 3000GT VR4 Turbo pulled up and I got my *** handed to me on a silver platter in front of all my friends. I'm talking about I wasn't even finished with third gear and the guy was turning around! I was so embarrassed. But the guy was really cool and came back and showed me under his hood and his 1/4 mile times. 9.6s! Damn! He's now one of our clubs honorary members, he's the first to get in there with us and help work on our cars. I just don't want people to be so closed-minded because a lot of kids w/ wings and fart cans spoiled their perception of import racing. If you meet a guy w/ a nice car that is pretty quiet, watch out! He's probably packing some serious power in that car!

i agree with the whole 4WD econocar comment - if its a civic, or whatever, u can mod it all u want, but at the end of the day, u'll still have a civic... i feel like these guys are chopping and channeling and modding so much that they're trying to turn their car into a viper or some sports car that it can never be.



also, is it just me or does the acura look like the back is modded like a corvette only missing 2 lights?
