I really wish they didn't do cash for clunkers. 1000 Camaros isn't a ton, but it's enough that 1000 people aren't going to get to yank parts from those cars.

At least there were more mudstains than Camaros. My wife suggested to me to bring mine in for cash for clunkers. Crazy B!!!!!!!!!! Goes to show, people don't know. Really pissed me off when she said it. Then, a few weeks later, my rich Aunt told my wife to trade here 04 Lexus in on the cash for clunkers. What a world.

I said it before and i'll say it again, they are not our cars, we didn't pay for them so if they want to go in their back yard and light a hemi cuda on fire let them, it's no loss out of my pocket.

I read somewhere that each car they destroyed cost the taxpayers $24,000. Don't know the truth of that, it's just something I read. If true, then it IS a loss out of your pocket!

The cars didnt have to be destroyed , the powertrains did though . The bodys still could used for parts . Different markets must handle things in different ways . One of our local junk yards just got in quite a few cash for clunkers Camaros and firebirds , and more .

I worked at a junkyard in south carolina over the summer and we got a 1998 6-spd Trans am from cash for clunkers. The car was a bit rough but definitely worth saving. Only the main part of the engine couldn't be sold. Everything else could be sold off the car so at least the parts didn't go to waste.

I feel really bad for those cars who have fallen to c4c but some people are just retarded.

BTW silverz28 that is a beautiful piece of automotive machinery you got there. That's the Harwood 2.5 cowl am I correct? I couldn't imagine even thinking of trading that into the c4c program.
