Anything but Silverstars grrr.

Their bulbs are overrated and don't last very long in 93-97's. Most likely do to the heat generated in such a small enclosure. So im looking into trying something new, either the GE Nighthawk's or Philips VisionPlus. Does anyone have any first hand experience using these bulbs who've gone from Silverstars? I'm most concerned about brightness and longevity as they compare with Silverstars. Are their other bulbs I should be looking at?

You could run some higher wattage Luks but if you do this, make sure you get a heavy duty wire harness as you don't want to burn up your wiring. You probably won't but it wouldn't hurt and you'll get a little better light from them.

The Silverstars for some reason don't look too good in the LT1 lens yet I've seen them look good in other lenses. And thats where the problem lies: the stock housings.

I have 4300k HIDs (got sick and tired of wannabe bulbs) and while they improve the lighting, they aren't anywhere near what cars with projectors put out.
