You take it to a powdercoating place and pay them. Its not really something you can do on your own

Once the parts are coated they have to be baked in a oven. Not something I would see as a "at home project".... Take it to a shop.

The Eastwood Company has an extensive line of powder coating equipment, including setups intended for "home" use. The curing step can be accomplished in a "dedicated" oven equivalent to a home oven. For larger parts they offer infra-red curing systems. The selection of colors is huge.

I have never seen any "home brew" powder coated parts. The equipment isn't cheap, and it appears it might be limited to fairly small stuff.... but check the website and decide for yourself.

And I will go ahead and tell you they are your best bet if you are wanting to get the stuff to do it yourself - I have shopped around. And your other best bet - look in the newspaper etc. for old ovens someone is selling. That way you can just take the racks out ('cept the bottom one of course) and let it be, like Fred said, a dedicated curing oven.

Chicago electric also makes a powdercoat system for doityourselfers. Thats what I just bought and I've got everything set up now all I need is a oven. For larger stuff I have a Mr Heater dual infrared propane heater on a adjustable stand. Havent used yet but plan on it pretty soon.
