That'll work. Except when that happens, you need to tell him I'll give him my 2008 subscription of Camaro Performers for his car. I mean, that's kinda rare right? I don't have much else to trade!

A guy on LS1tech now owns this car, but it's been wrecked pretty bad since these pics were taken. These pics were on a CD I have from my old computer, so these pics are at least 2004 or older.

Here's a '97 Firebird in the same color, with a white top. This is a reallllllll looker.

That vert Z would 100xs better if he doesn't put the graphics back on when he paints it...

Oh and as for enthusiast support for BPM... I nearly got sick when I found a guy on fquick that was tearing apart a BPM Z to make a drag car and painting it another color

I guess me, you, and my friend that has the ppm formula are the only ones obsessed. I watch for them around here. I've only seen 2 fbodies in the same color - a 97 V6 and I think the bird I've seen is a V6 too...that or it's a formula. I've seen it once or twice. OH and there's a BPM S10 Blazer running around town too.

If I remember right, somebody on here or cardomain has a BPM '97 Camaro with Bright Teal ground effects. I checked, and I didn't save pics. The car was wrecked, so I guess it's just a good thing they are getting it back on the road.

There's a Maro Boyz guy who has a candy purple Camaro that looks similar to BPM, it looks pretty neat.

That's been on autotrader awhile now, just about everyone I've ever seen has a V6. Actually, to get technical, I think the majority are RS Camaros. BPM was apparently really popular to get with the RS package... and cloth...

No offense to the guys who like cloth, but these cars look killer with the black leather, and I don't like the way the cloth looks for any year, 93 to 02.

When I can afford it... maybe I'll get my own to mess around with. As shock6906 knows... this is what? My 4th dream Camaro idea?

'96 Medium Quasar Blue metallic Z28 with the rare chrome salad shooters
Bright Teal metallic '96 SS (1 of the 77 made)
Callaway C8
and now '97 BPM SS replica... I better get a few more jobs and hurry up before all my dream cars are trashed.

Good luck with those dream cars!
BTW, if the V6 97 was closer, I'd consider buying it for a dd so I wouldn't be putting so many miles on the Z!
Yes, I'm obssessed!

Re: 1997 to 1998 Bright Purple Metallic Camaro, RS, Z28

Been a long time since I've been on here. I had a 97 Z28 BPM that I re-sprayed after I side swiped it with a semi truck at work. Wound up selling it after the MSD Opti burned up.... Got tired of pulling the distributor twice a year and I needed money for an engagement ring for the wife I divorced... Talk about regret. That car was a pain, but way more fun than the lady. What I was wondering is if anyone has seen a 5th gen Photoshoped to BPM. I know I'll never be able to find a true 4th gen BPM and I prefer the 97 to the 98 so odds are there aren't too many left. Interested to see if a newer one would look good too. It's by far my favorite color and I can say that it looks so good while wet without clear over it. So deep

Were you the guy with the repaint thread on here? I remember reading a BPM repaint thread years back. By dumb luck, I ended up finding one of the 6-speed 97s this past summer, so at least one of them still exists.

Re: 1997 to 1998 Bright Purple Metallic Camaro, RS, Z28

I know this is a old post. Just picked up a bpm 98 z28 with 67k miles. found it about 300 miles away from me picked it up for $1350. Does need some work like a new paint job and I have narrowed it down to a rod knock which was due to low maintenance (30k miles with no oil change). I’ve been looking up rpo codes to see what the rarity is on it.
its a z28 auto T-top, chrome wheels, 3.23 gears, traction control, grey cloth 6way power, keyless entry, CD player. Wish it was a true Y3F package.
cant get any pictures to load so I’ll have to try later.
